When I was in an abusive relationship, I was stuck. I spent my days walking on eggshells, crying in secret, scared to tell anyone, and blaming myself every time he exploded. But, I\u2019m here now. My mind is quiet and I trust my own voice. I want to share what this journey has taught me. The biggest realization I\u2019ve had on staying safe was that emotional safety starts in your own mind before it shows up at your address. The tension you feel is the alarm. Don't ignore it. Those tiny moments of truth-telling slowly rebuild your spirit. You can quiet your own mind and trust your own voice again. What this journey taught me is that healing whispers louder than the loudest storms.<\/strong> Don\u2019t wait to feel brave and then start protecting your heart. Instead, start by quietly naming, \u201cI feel scared right now,\u201d just to yourself. Once that gets easier, share your truth only with people who keep you calm, not those who keep you small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
